环境设计是一门集环境规划、景观布局、景观设计、管理、保护等的科学艺术。现代环境设计理论强调设计的基点是以人为本，在更高的层次上协调人与环境的关系，以维护人和其它生命的健康与持续。课程培养能够运用现代设计理念，独立从事景观设计的专业技术人才，作为现代可持续人居环境的规划设计者、创造者。
